Text Box: It looks like the realignment question will be split into several questions.
1. Creation of New Group-Northern Group
2. Splitting the Hound Group into two groups:
    Sight and Scent Hounds
3. Splitting the Sporting Group into two groups:
    Pointers/Setters and Spaniels/Retrievers
4. Rename Non-Sporting the Companion Group

Delegates are also considering creating a “Grand Champion” class, which would be only champions competing against each other. After so many BOB’s, you become a new “Grand Champion.” It is still in the infant stages. There are lots of questions to be answered before this becomes a reality. The idea is to encourage more dogs, once they are championed, to show so they can obtain the “Grand Champion” title.
Is this a good thing for the little guy or a chance for the professional handlers to make more money? Should it be restricted to BBE champions only? Should it be restricted as to who handles the dog? There are a lot of questions to be answered. I will keep you posted on the details.
Questions will be addressed at the August meeting. If you cannot make it and have an opinion, let your delegate know what you think. 899-7460
